Cherry red color with purple hue. Cloudy due to presence of residual yeast. Bright, fresh aromatics coupled with delicate hints of violet and rose. A pleasantly tart wine with notes of candied red fruit on the palate. Chill, shake, serve!
A historically significant winery whose origins date back to 1670. In this year, two of the estate’s most important vineyards—Perdaudin and Prachiosso—were first planted. With some of the most desired vineyard sites in Roero, Negro is one of the indisputable legends of the region. Giovanni Negro, the estate’s present owner, produced the first dry Roero Arneis on record in 1971. Following tradition, the winery in Monteu Roero now boasts a stunning lineup of Arneis as well as an impressive range of Roero Nebbiolo. Today, Negro observes organic practices while managing a staggering 64 hectares.

Chateau d'Oupia "Les Heretiques" IGP Pays d'Herault 2019

Les Heretiques is named in recogntion of the Cathars, a heretical Christian group once based on the Languedoc but wiped out by order of Pope Innocent III in 1208 in response to the murder of a papal representative by a Cathar supporter near Minervois.
Joe Dressner designed the original label.
The Carignan goes through a full carbonic maceration. The Grenache is destemmed and macerates 21-30 days in concrete tanks with one remontage per day. Three grams of S02 per hectoliter are added after malolactic fermentation.

Domaine du Possible "Tout bu or not tout bu" 2019

Full carbonic maceration of 15 days in concrete vats. Aging five to six months in concrete. 7mg per liter of sulfur added at bottling.
Nestled in the tiny village of Lansac, Domaine du Possible is the brainchild of Loïc Roure. In 2003, Loïc scrapped his initial plan of opening a restaurant/winebar/retailer, deciding instead to start his own estate. Starting out with some vines in Latour de France, he soon expanded with land closer to Lansac. He also recently purchased four hectares in Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, a half an hour drive from the Agly Valley. The estate now consists of 10.5 hectares spread over many parcels and communes, all falling under the Côtes du Roussillon AOC.
The wines are vinified to be fresh, bright and easy-to-drink. Extraction and alcohol remain low, and instead the focus is on fruit, minerality and acidity. Most of the wines are initially
Foot-trodden, then whole clusters are added, resulting in a spontaneous, semi-carbonic maceration. Sulfur additions, if any, are decided each vintage, wine by wine. In cases where sulfur is added, Loïc never uses more than 10mg for the reds and 20mg for the white, and only at bottling.

Folias de Baco Uivo Renegado Tinto 2021

From +80 year old vines planted on 2 hectares of schist and granite. The more than 25 red and white varietals are hand harvested separately in September and undergo vineyard sorting. The whole clusters macerate for three days, followed by spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts lasting roughly three weeks in large granite lagars (1000L). The wine spends six months on lees with stirring once every two weeks only at the beginning of aging. Aged for six months in 2-3 year old chestnut oak (225L)(5%) and the rest in cement. Not fined or filtered.

Hervé Souhaut Romaneaux-Destezet Syrah 2019

Varietal: 100% Syrah—30 year-old vines
Violets, bacon fat and black cherry all interplay on the nose. Deep black cherry and juicy plum flavors meshed with candied violets and cool strawberry flavors on the palate. The moderate tannins highlight the fruity components on the finish.
Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a very long maceration at a low temperature—without destemming. The wine is fermented in wooden tanks and aged on fine lees in second-hand oak casks for eight months. The wine is bottled without filtration. The wine has a total SO2 of only 25mg/L.
Hervé Souhaut created Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet in 1993. Hervé works 5-hectares of old and ancient vines—between 50 to 100 years old. He is very fortunate to own two vineyards in the Rhône Valley just opposite the storied hills of Hermitage in Saint Joseph. This region is widely recognized as being one of the finest areas for wine production on the planet; thanks in part to its elevation, ancient vineyard sites, and southeastern and southern exposures. The domaine is located further into the hills of the Northern Ardeche in the tiny town of Arlebosc, about a 30-minute drive, winding through the hills from St Joseph. The winery is underneath the 16th century “les romaneaux” fortified farm and sits in the middle of the vines that make up the Souteronne, Syrah, and white cuvées.

Les Champs Libres is a small negociant label run by René-Jean Dard and Hervé Souhaut, two of the most iconic organic producers in the Northern Rhone. The grapes are sourced from organically tended vineyards, and vinified without manipulation or intervention.
This is a blend of the area's major red grapes - Syrah and Gamay de l'Ardeche (a distinct vine of Gamay different from Beaujolais) - from organic vineyards, made in vat and bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Dark fruited with a basket of spices and a rocky backbone evocative of the arid land from which this comes. Light on its feet, fresh, and juicy. Really clean and precise and lightly grippy. Throw this in the fridge for a bit and serve chilled.

Lo-Fi Wines Santa Barbara Valley Cabernet Franc Clos Mullet 2018

Lo-Fi’s ethos is to embrace the unpredictable and uncontrollable factors in vintage and vinification, much like an audiophiles derive pleasure from the clicks, pops, and hiss of their favorite vinyl records. The duo behind Lo-Fi, Mike Roth and Craig Winchester, has built vineyard connections and winemaking chops that put them in a position to deftly guide the fermentation process of these vibrant wines without manipulations or additions. Lo-Fi is marked by easy drinking, low alcohol, neutral barrel—if any—oak, native yeasts, little or no sulfur or other interventions that hide the fruit or the vintage that spawned it. Nothing added and nothing taken away.
Clos Mullet is a single vineyard and the only vineyard that Mike Rothe actually owns. This site tends to make a little more structured/ serious cab franc than any other he works with. Hand harvested and organiclly grown; 100% de-stemmed. Pumped over once daily. No sulfur used at harvest. Fermented on the native yeasts. The wine was fermented for two weeks then pressed to tank, settled, then racked to barrel the following day. Total of 20 ppm so2 added without filtration.

Luneau Papin Grange Muscadet 2018

This wine comes from a single parcel of the same name. The Luneau family are pioneers in this regard and still amongst the only producers in Muscadet to bottle single vineyard expressions of their land. They've been doing it since the 80's.
Pressed in a pneumatic press. Cold clarification of grape juice, then temperature controlled fermentation at 20° C for several weeks using only indegenous yeasts. Vinification and maturation sur lie in underground vats lined with glass tiles. These vats stays on its lees (sur lie) for seven months until it is bottled.

Matthieu Barret Crozes Hermitage "Et la banniere..." 2020

“Et La Bannière” comes from David Reynaud’s vineyard, a biodynamic producer from Crozes-Hermitage. Barret sources from the younger vines to get a more vibrant expression of fruit. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented carbonically to create a fresher style than you would normally find in Crozes.

Vinification : Semi-carbonic spontaneous fermentation in Stainless-steel. Aged for 6 months in stainless-steel.
The Michlits family runs the Meinklang farm which is a wide and varied Demeter-certified agricultural operation cultivating a number of different crops as well as raising 300 Angus cattle. The estate represents what used to be common practice everywhere in the Pannonian countryside: a mixed farming operation, managed by extended family. The wine estate is well integrated into the farm and lead by Angela and Werner Michlits.

Milan Nestarec’s vineyards comprise 8 hectares across two wine growing municipalities. No herbicides are used and the vines are worked organically. Greenwich, CT delivery:
We make deliveries during our open hours free of charge in Greenwich, CT. Please order by 3pm to guarantee same-day delivery. Any questions just call: 203-869-8944
Greater Fairfield County & Westchester, NY:
We make daily contactless deliveries outside of Greenwich. These deliveries will incur a flat fee of $10. Once we receive your order we will reach out to coordinate the day and time. Orders are typically delivered within 24 hours of purchase and usually sooner than that. If you need the wines earlier, or if you have any other special requests - please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to help you with whatever your needs are, no matter how specialized or unique! Outside of CT:
For delivery outside of Connecticut we ship via common carrier. We currently do not ship to the following states: AL, AR, CO, DE, GA, HI, IL, IA, KS, KY, MD, MS, MT, OK, PA, SD, UT, VT, WI. As statutory laws are constantly changing, please note that this list is updated frequently, and acceptance of an order does not guarantee that we will ultimately be able to ship wine to you. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship spirits anywhere outside of Connecticut.

You must be 21 years or older to purchase and receive products from Horseneck Wine & Spirits. If you request shipping you authorize Horseneck Wine & Spirits to engage a common carrier to deliver your order. All shipments require an adult signature at the time of delivery. Therefore, either you or an authorized adult must be present at the time of delivery with proof of identification.
If you wish to ship to a location outside of Connecticut, you assume all responsibility for shipment. We will notify you before processing your order if we are unable to ship wine to the state you request. For the protection of your wines, we will not ship during warmer months without your express instruction. All orders are packed immediately upon purchase but we may wait for optimal conditions to send. Since we cannot control the temperature of any common carrier, we do our best to send shipments out at the beginning of each week. We will always confirm any delays in shipment, and the choice is ultimately up to you.

Yannick Pelletier Blanc 2019

Varietal: Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Grenache, Terret
The grapes are direct pressed including a portion that is foot tread. Fermentation and aging occur in stainless steel.
Yannick Pelletier's estate currently consists of 10 hectares in the Saint Chinian AOC that he has been working with since January 2004. He currently grows five Varietals: Syrah (15%), Mourvedre (5%), Grenache (50%), Cinsault (16%) and Carignan (14%), and has recently acquired 0.5 ha of 50 year old Terret Blanc vines as well as some Terret Gris. The parcels are relatively distant from each other, which lets him take advantage of many different types of terroirs: 65% schist, 23% clay and limestone and 12% round stones. The youngest vines are 15, the oldest 70 and the estate is certified organic. For the most part Yannick trains his vines in gobelet in the vines, which applies to the Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault. The Syrah is trained in Cordon de Royat, and normally he leaves six to eight spurs with one bud each.
