A to Z offers a tasty mid- bodied wine consisting of the Pinot Noir varietal. This wine offers strawberry and cherry fruit notes combined with a smooth oaky vanilla. Overall this wine is underappreciated for its value, as A to Z competes with many fine Burgundies.

Aviary California Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon

Founded by Gregory Ahn and Jonathan White, Aviary Vineyards launched with the 2009 vintage of our Napa Valley Red Blend. That first vintage took advantage of tiny lots of different varieties from 13 different vineyards throughout Napa Valley. Much like an aviary, the blend of different grapes interacted and harmonized to create a wine that was beautiful, enjoyable, and captivating.

The 2018 Aviary California Cabernet Sauvignon, as in previous vintages, is developed to offer the classic big, rich, dark fruit Cabernet attributes, while also displaying our velvety smooth tannin structure, tempered by our consistent selection of oak. On the nose you will find generous blueberry fruit with a touch of crushed earth. The mid-pallet continues with dark fruit expressions of cassis, some red fruit in the form of subtle strawberry preserves, and just a touch of bright menthol or eucalyptus.

PAIR WITH: Any cut of steak or roasts, stands beautifully on its own as well.

Broc Love Red Blend 2019

Varietals: 72% Carignan, 20% Valdiguié, 8% Syrah

The Love Red grapes are harvested early to highlight the fruit and preserve the acidity. The Carignan is a combination of whole cluster and destemmed fruit from three 70 year-old dry farmed vineyards in Northern California. The Valdiguié is 100% whole cluster and the Syrah is mostly destemmed. The wine was aged in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and concrete tanks. The Carignan delivers the blue fruit in the wine. Valdiguié brings out the brightness and lifting acidity. Syrah holds it together, adding depth and structure.

The grapes come from 70+ year-old vines in Solano County’s Green Valley and Mendocino County. Wirth Vineyard is in Solano County’s Green Valley, an area tucked between Napa and Suisun Valley. Both Rosewood and Ricetti Vineyard are located in Mendocino. The grapes of each vineyard grow in sandy loam soils and come from dry-farmed and head-pruned vines. Wirth Vineyard practices noncertified organic farming. Ricetti and Rosewood are both certified organic.

Canaille Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir 2019

From our friend and wine expert Charles Antin comes his fourth vintage of our favorite California Pinot Noir for Burgundy lovers. Charles works with top vineyard sites and selects the best three barrels from the harvest. The wine is very Burgundian when you first open it and after a few hours the sunshine and ripeness of California starts to creep in. Tart and ripe strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, baking spices, sandalwood, cardamom, fresh leaves, cedar, soft granite. So good.

Januik Cabernet Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Mike Januik has been making wine in Washington's Columbia Valley for as long as anyone else. The Columbia Valley is the premier site for Cab and to make wine there it's all about your vineyard sources and your relationships with the vineyard owners. Mike's career affords him the ability to source from the best parcels across the valley which translates to one of the great values in American Cabernet.

This supple, bold Cabernet Sauvignon is loaded with red and black fruit flavors as well as plum, mocha and cedar notes in the nose. Its texture is quite refined and shows great structure across the palate, imparting a long, ample finish that was developed in part from the use of new French Oak barrels.
