“This accelerates on the palate with incredibly ripe tannins and finesse. Full body, roasted fruit, leather and grilled meat. Dried flowers, too. It shows superb tannin backbone and polish. Tight and youthful. Just starting to open. Currant and berry undertones with lead pencil are impressive. “ (10/2015)
Chateau Haut Segottes Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2017Regular price $49.00 Save $-49.00
Varietal: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (40%)
Chateau Haut Segottes Saint Emilion Grand Cru features a majority of Cabernet Franc. This dominance of Cabernet Franc produces a wine of considerable structure and is exceptionally age-worthy
The Chateau Haut Ségottes is owned and operated by Danielle Meunier and her assistant, Florent Caldier. Mme. Meunier, “vign- eronne extraordinaire”, is the fourth generation of her family to oversee this nine hectare estate situated in the heart of the Saint Emil- ion appellation. Mme. Meunier’s great-grandfather purchased the estate around 1860 and had earned gold medals for his wine as early as 1912 at the Concours Agricole in Paris. The estate’s 9 hectares are all planted within the St. Emilion Grand Cru appellation. The vineyards are tended with the utmost care by Madame Meunier and her long-serving trio of master “gardeners”. Her obsession with, and dedication to her vineyards, enables Madame Meunier’s Haut Ségottes to produce exceptional quality year-in and year-out despite the vagaries of the weather. The wines of this estate capture the essence of the artisanal craftsperson.

Segla Margaux 2015Regular price $85.00 Save $-85.00
Varietals: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and a ”seasoning” of 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc
Wine Advocate 90 points - "The 2015 Segla is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and a ”seasoning” of 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, representing just over half the total crop, matured in 25% new wood. It has a fragrant, very precise bouquet with mineral-rich, very pure blackberry, blueberry and cold flint-like aromas. There is wonderful tension here for a deuxieme vin. The palate is medium-bodied with a juicy opening, just a tingle of spice on the tip of the tongue. There is very fine tension here, moderate weight but great persistence and sense of energy on the finish. On a budget? Thinking of a second wine? Look no further..April/2016"
Sassicaia 2018Regular price $275.00 Save $-275.00
Varietal: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
Hailed as the standard-bearer of Italian enology, the historic Tenuta San Guido estate is known for crafting Sassicaia, the world’s first Super Tuscan and an important contribution to Italy’s evolving reputation as a fine-wine producing nation in the mid-20th century. From the ambition of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta to plant Bordeaux varieties in Tuscany in the 1940s to the arrival of acclaimed consulting oenologist Giacomo Tachis to the introduction of two additional wines to the brand, Tenuta San Guido has vaulted from success to success.

“All about radiance and finesse, this iconic Tuscan red has beguiling aromas of cedar, wild red berry, menthol and pipe tobacco that mingle with fragrant blue flowers. Made with 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, the focused, elegantly structured palate is vibrant and savory, delivering cassis, orange zest, licorice and a hint of coffee framed in taut, polished tannins. Bright acidity keeps it energized and balanced. Drink through 2033.” KERIN O’KEEFE
Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux Margaux 2018Regular price $299.00 Save $-299.00
Varietal: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot
This second wine of Château Margaux was introduced in 1908 and now represents 50% of the overall estate production. Generally selected from vats and barrels of a lesser caliber than the "Grand Vin," it is typically made from the younger vines.
This is a superb second wine with fine, light structure, dark ruby color and rich fruit. Pavillon Rouge does not require a long time in barrel and matures more quickly, but still carries a fine potential for aging in the great vintages.
Chateau Mouton Rotschild Pauillac 1998Regular price $649.00 Save $-649.00
Varietal: Bordeaux Blend
97 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
“The 1998 Mouton Rothschild is deep garnet-brick in color with lovely crème de cassis, dried roses, hoisin and baking spice notes with underlying notions of dried cherries and mulberries plus touches of wood smoke, incense and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied and packed with rich fruit framed by firm, chewy tannins, it is stacked with complex, evolving flavors and finishes with incredibly long-lasting perfumed notes. According to winemaker Philippe Dhalluin, this needs about three hours of decanting at this stage. I simply love the place this wine is in right now, possessing plenty of mature, tertiary characters yet still sporting bags of fruit. (LPB) “(5/2018)

Our 2016 Proprietary Red opens with clear, vibrant aromas of blueberry, blackberry, and black cherry, with intriguing nuances of cardamom, vanilla, toast and star anise that balance the intense dark fruit. A complex palate of deep blackberry and currant, with undertones of leather, is supported by firm, silky tannins. This wine honors its high elevation mountain vineyards with a rich, succulent body; a hint of dark chocolate mousse distinguishes the lengthy finish.
Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 1, 2018
“The 2016 Proprietary Red is fabulous, just as it was from bottle. Silky, supple and also quite structured on the palate, the 2016 is a stunningly beautiful, vivid wine. Dark cherry/plum jam, bittersweet chocolate, rose petal, lavender, spice and menthol build into the huge, unctuous finish. There is so much to like.”

Château Bellegrave lies in the south of Pauillac, between Château Latour, Pichon-Longueville and LynchBages. Formerly the property of the late Mr Armand Roux, the estate was purchased in 1901, by his business partner and sole heir, Mr H. Van-Der-Voort, a trader in San-Francisco. It was in 1997 that Mr J.P Meffre, already the owner of Château Du Glana and Château Lalande in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, bought it. Originally from the Comtat Venaissin in the Vaucluse region of south-eastern France, it was in 1954 that Gabriel MEFFRE, a renowned nurseryman in search of places to sell his plants, discovered the Médoc and bought several estates in Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac and Saint-Julien. Today, his grandsons, Ludovic and Julien, run this new estate. “We are convinced that Pauillac is the promised land for Cabernet-Sauvignon, the ideal spot for its strength and elegance to express themselves. Our passion for our art drives us on in our search for the most judicious balance between modern methods and the respect for tradition, to ensure that Bellegrave expresses its potential to the full.”

“This is a ripe, perfumed wine. Aged in wood, it is full bodied, rich, complex and packed with black-plum flavors. The tannins are almost soft enough and this wine should be ready from 2021.” ROGER VOSS
The Château de Lescours was built in 1341. Its name comes from its first lord: Pey de Lascortz, squire of the King of England Edward III (1327-1377).
The Castle served in 1582 and 1583, as an asylum, to Henri de Navarre (future Henri IV), as well as to several other great figures.
Located in a meander of the Dordogne, in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Emilion Appellation, the Château de Lescours is located in the middle of an 80 hectare park.
The vineyard covers almost 8 hectares in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. It is planted on sandy and gravelly soil.
As for the other 72 hectares, they correspond to a wetland ecosystem which Pierre CHARIOL is keen to preserve biodiversity. Its goal: to encourage the arrival of birds, and the reproduction of many local species (plants and animals).

“Grown on the slopes of Mount Saint Helena in Knights Valley, the distinctive aromas and flavors of our proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot display their hillside origins. Rocky, rhyolitic soils created through volcanic activity millennia ago, contribute a mineral richness and add to the wine’s complexity. Spanning forty-nine acres, Les Pavots ascends to an elevation of nearly 1,400 feet. Merlot and Cabernet Franc grow on the cool upper slopes, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot below.”
Winemakers Tasting Notes:
"Deep ruby in color with a red-purple rim, the 2018 ‘Les Pavots’ reveals a sophisticated bouquet of freshly blossomed violets and sweet tones of blueberry and boysenberry synchronizing with native, wild garrique and crushed-stone minerality. Full-bodied and elegant, the wine offers a lavish array of flavors: blackberry pie and Albion strawberries contrast savory notes of tobacco and cigar box. Hints of cedar, vanilla bean, and black pepper lead to a long, well-structured finish. Approachable in its youth, Les Pavots provides an exemplary representation of our winery estate terroir and will continue to evolve graciously for two decades.”

Varietal: 88% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc
Château Belles-Graves is named after the abundant gravel in its vineyards, which is notorious for holding the sun’s heat into the night. This helps the grapes (Merlot with a bit of Cabernet Franc) ripen early, giving generous wines dominated by ripe black fruit with very supple, approachable tannins. This does not preclude them from aging: this Lalande can easily be held for ten or twenty years, developing a deep complexity and aromas of black truffle and leather.

Vinous: “ The 2015 Clos Marsalette is rich, powerful and authoritative, just as it was from barrel. Black cherry, smoke, rose petal, menthol, licorice and savory herbs fill out the wine's ample frame effortlessly, but there is good energy to back things up. Time in the glass brings out the 2015's aromatic dimension. Clos Marsalette is arguably the most extroverted, flamboyant wine in Pessac-Léognan.”
Located in Martillac, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Clos Marsalette is jointly owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg and Didier Miqueu. This vineyard sits magnificently on gravelly soils deposited long ago by the Garonne. Offering a great diversity, the subsoil is composed of marine sediment from the Miocene and Pliocene epochs (5 to 15 million years ago) in the form of shelly sand with a bit of clay, fawn-colored sand, and multi-colored clay.

Varietal: Cabernet Franc
A wine with a personality marked by its terroir, very ripe grapes offering a deep red color, a pretty nose of small black fruits, a fleshy and opulent wine on the palate, with a silky tannic structure.
Domaine des Sanzay has an amazing range of wines from the town of Saumur using primarily Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. The clay on limestone soil provides wines that are light on their feet with good intensity and acidity. Louis and Julienne founded the estate in 1880 and it is now run by the fifth generation. Didier, who took over in 1993, works in the vineyards and winery while his wife Celine manages the office and sales. Their son Ludovic helps his father more each year. This 28 hectare domaine produces around 1400 hectoliters annually and is maintained with minimal plowing and grass between the vines. Indigenous yeasts are used during fermentation. Officially organic starting with the 2019 vintage, but in reality, their farming practices changed little to meet the certification as their house is in the vineyards they always farmed as gently as possible.

Baronesa P. is a selection of the finest micro-terroirs, selected over a period of several years based on experience and understanding of these soils and vineyards. Over many years and after producing countless batches, they refined their selection to create this cuvée in honor of Baroness Philippine de Rothschild.
The color is intense, deep ruby-red with violet highlights. The nose, intense and potent revealing black fruit aromas with predominant notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, and black cherry. Spices such as black pepper gradually mingled with subtle aromas of cedarwood, vanilla, caramel, and toasted hazelnuts imparted by oak ageing. The Palate starts out lush and complex with good concentration accompanied by elegantly structured and wonderfully ripe tannins. Nicely balanced with a natural freshness that brings out a complex aromatic expression where wild blueberry and blackberry notes elegantly intertwine with Asian spices and a hint of toffee. The exceptionally persistent finish combines power and elegance, accounting for this wine's excellent ageing potential.
