“This is a ripe, perfumed wine. Aged in wood, it is full bodied, rich, complex and packed with black-plum flavors. The tannins are almost soft enough and this wine should be ready from 2021.” ROGER VOSS

The Château de Lescours was built in 1341. Its name comes from its first lord: Pey de Lascortz, squire of the King of England Edward III (1327-1377).

The Castle served in 1582 and 1583, as an asylum, to Henri de Navarre (future Henri IV), as well as to several other great figures.

Located in a meander of the Dordogne, in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Emilion Appellation, the Château de Lescours is located in the middle of an 80 hectare park.

The vineyard covers almost 8 hectares in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. It is planted on sandy and gravelly soil.

 

As for the other 72 hectares, they correspond to a wetland ecosystem which Pierre CHARIOL is keen to preserve biodiversity. Its goal: to encourage the arrival of birds, and the reproduction of many local species (plants and animals).

GREATER FAIRFIELD COUNTY & WESTCHESTER, NY:

Delivery outside of Greenwich will incur a flat fee of $10. Once we receive your order we will reach out to coordinate the day and time. Orders are typically delivered within 24 hours of purchase and usually sooner than that. If you need the wines earlier, or if you have any other special requests - please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to help you with whatever your needs are, no matter how specialized or unique! For delivery outside of Connecticut we ship via common carrier. We currently ship to over 38 states. As statutory laws are constantly changing, please note that this list is updated frequently, and acceptance of an order does not guarantee that we will ultimately be able to ship wine to you. At checkout, you will be quoted a shipping rate only if we are able to ship to your desired state. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship spirits anywhere outside of Connecticut.

As statutory laws are constantly changing, please note that this list is updated frequently, and acceptance of an order does not guarantee that we will ultimately be able to ship wine to you. Terms & Conditions

You must be 21 years or older to purchase and receive products from Horseneck Wine & Spirits. If you request shipping you authorize Horseneck Wine & Spirits to engage a common carrier to deliver your order. All shipments require an adult signature at the time of delivery. Therefore, either you or an authorized adult must be present at the time of delivery with proof of identification. 
If you wish to ship to a location outside of Connecticut, you assume all responsibility for shipment. We will notify you before processing your order if we are unable to ship wine to the state you request. For the protection of your wines, we will not ship during warmer months without your express instruction. All orders are packed immediately upon purchase but we may wait for optimal conditions to send. Since we cannot control the temperature of any common carrier, we do our best to send shipments out at the beginning of each week. We will always confirm any delays in shipment, and the choice is ultimately up to you.
Some of our wine is sold "Pre-Arrival." All "Pre-Arrival" items will be indicated as such on our website and include the estimated date of arrival. We will contact you once the wine has arrived and confirm any shipment or delivery requests prior to sending. 
"Qualifying Wines" means all still wines under $300.
